Fated Encounters

Sometimes fate has an interesting way of working. I was recently guided to a person who I had met before but this time the encounter was a lot more involved than the first time meeting. However, I am in a completely different path than I was two years ago when I originally met this woman. Funny, I look back at who I was two years ago and I can’t believe I am the same person because so much has changed within me since then. I guess I’ve been leveling up and didn’t even know it. I bet two years from now my life might be unrecognizable from where I am now. Change is the only constant in this life! Any who, back on topic Linds!

So, a couple of years ago while I was still living in California I found a shop called Wise Woman Botanicals located in Moberly, MO. It was recommended in a homesteading group that I had joined in preparation of our impending relocation. I was so drawn to the shop that I saved it in my favorites before I even knew where I would be moving to. When we moved to Missouri in June of 2022 we stayed about an hour and a half away from our current house because that was the nearest place that we could rent for over a week and took all our dogs AND cats. It turned out that the rental was only 15 minutes away from this shop I had wanted to visit. I fell in love immediately! It was like a mecca for me. She had her own line of skin care, health care creams and tonics, heavy mental detoxes, cancer cures and preventives, pure essential oils as well as rocks and minerals galore. I learned that the woman was a retired nurse who went down the path of natural healing at the age of 60 and opened her own business that has grown and thrived since.

This past week a friend asked if I had been to her shop before because they knew it would be my cup of tea. This conversation put her back in my mind and on Thursday I went back for a visit. I am so glad that I did! I was able to chat with Connie for a while on Thursday and I signed up for a seminar about supplements and vitamins that she was hosting that upcoming Saturday. On Saturday I ventured out and drove through a beautifully moody thunderstorm to reach my destination. I was the only student in attendance, although a college of hers was also present. For the first hour and a half I received a wealth of information in regards to natural healing. So many references, so much information, so many suggestions and ideas. Thank goodness I brought a notepad! At about noon a couple more people showed up for the class and the original content was discussed. I learned so so SO much! I also met new people who live close to me who are interested in me and what I am doing here with Linden Tree Blossoms. I learned of a new berry, the aronia berry, and local farm that grows them.

When all was said and done I got big hugs and the promise for even more information and learning opportunities. What started as a way to clear my head became something monumental in my healers journey, I gained a mentor.
