Sometimes you set your eyes on someone or something and pray so hard you nearly loose focus on what else you’ve been praying for.

Today I received the answer to my prayers and sadly the answer was, “No.” Argh! What a crushing defeat! What a blow to the ego! How could I have been so fool hardy?!

Even still I think hidden within this answer is a lot of things to be grateful for.

I am grateful for the courage and bravery I mustered to reach out for something I truly wanted, even if I didn’t get it in the end.

I am grateful for the inspiration to work towards something I aspired to start long ago and without this spark of inspiration the fire would not have been lit.

I am grateful for the renewed sense of determination that is filling my entire being. I have a vision, a goal, a destination to reach.

So, thank you God for the answer to my prayers, even if it is not what I wanted perhaps it is what I needed.
